The material in the textbook “Bystritsky – Power Equipment for Industrial Enterprises” is based on the author’s many years of teaching students majoring in electrical power and electrical engineering in the disciplines “Power Supply for Industrial Enterprises,” “Power Installations for Industrial Enterprises,” and “Power Equipment for Industrial Enterprises.”

Bystritsky’s book “Power Equipment for Industrial Enterprises” consists of two sections: “Fundamentals of Thermal Engineering” and “Heat and Power Equipment for Industrial Enterprises.”

The first section, “Bystritsky – Power Equipment for Industrial Enterprises,” presents the fundamental principles of technical thermodynamics, the fundamentals of heat transfer theory, and the cycles of the most common heat engines and power plants.

The second section, “Bystritsky – Power Equipment for Industrial Enterprises,” examines the operating principles and design of surface heat exchangers, various types of fuel, combustion methods, and associated burner devices, as well as boiler units and the operation of individual boiler unit components.

Furthermore, the second section examines the operating principles, performance characteristics, parameters, and control methods of various pumping machines that are most widely used in industrial power generation.
